Li Xiu
November 1943-The artist was born in shiping. Yunnan,china. 1968-She graduated from the Department of fine Arts,Guangxi Art Academy .She was influenced by the great masters Chen Yan-qiao,Yang Tai-yang and yang Qi-hong.
1977-Her was selcted for the "Double Celebaation"National Art Exhibition in Beiing ,then for the Exhibition of the Recent 50 Years of Chinese Prints in Paris ,France.
1980-She partinipated in the National Congress of Engravers and was elected a director.
1982-She Won the Frist Prize in the Exhibition of National Minorities of China for (sERIES of 5).1984-Her , and were sent to the 6th National Art Exhibition ,of which the and were regarded as the excellent works.
1985-Eighteen of her woodcuts were accepted into the Joint Exhibition of ten Female Artists' Prints sponsored by China Association of Artists in Beijing.
1985-Be elected as director on the fourth deputy conference of the China Association of Artists.
1987-Five works were displayed in Australia. was collected by the Sydney Museum.
1988-The Exhibition of Li Xiu's Prints was held in the National Gallery Beijing.Six of her works were collected by the National Gallery.
1989-Her was sent to the 7th National Art Exhibition.
1990-She participated in the Art Exhibition by Modern Chinese Female Artists in Macao.
1991-He was shown at the Grand Exhibition of Modern Chinese Fine Arts in Tokyo,Japan.
1992-An Exhibition of Li Xiu's Woodcuts was held in Tai-wan.
1992-She was invited to Cambridge, England to attend the 19th International Congress on Arts and Communications.
1993-She was invited to visit Japan and her fourteen works were collected by the Aioi Shinrin Museum of Art ,Japan.
1994-She won the Award of Distinction at the 8th National Art Exhibition,"A Hundred Blooms of Ethnic Art"for her .
1995-Her and were sent to the Exhibition of Yanhuang Gallery Beijing.
1996-Her was selected for the Modern Chinese Art Show held by the China Association of Artists .
1996-Her wascommended and rewarded by Yunnan Provincial Government .
LiXiu's works were accepted for exhibition at the 6th,7th,8th ,9th,10th,12th.and 13th.National Engraving Shows,She was awarded the Bronze Medal at the 10th National Engraving Show for her .
Carvings were accepted for display in the United States,Japan,Austria,France and other twenty countries and districts.
Education:
In 1964, graduated from the middle school attached to Yunnan Academy of Fine Arts. In 1968, graduated from the printmaking department of Guangxi Academy of Fine Arts.
Experience:
In 1980, adjusted into the Yunnan College of Arts for her woodcut creation. In 1980, elected as one of the members in the National Printmakers'Associations. In 1985, elected as one of the members of the National Artists'Associations. In 1992, invited to pay a visit in the United States. In 1993, invited to pay a visit in Japan. In 1993, elected as a permanent member of the 7th Political Negotiation Committee in Yunnan Province. In 1998, elected as a permanent member of the 9th Standing committee of the NPC. .

Now, Li is a senior art teacher in Yunnan College of Arts.

In 1995, her artwork and one of the artworks were selected to attend "the donated artworks exhibition of the famous artists" which was held by the Yan and Huang Emperors' Art Museum.
In the same year, her artwork was selected to attend "the Chinese exquisite paintings exhibition".
In 1996, one piece of works was selected to attend "Chinese Modern Art Exhibition" held by Chinese Artistsˇ Association in Japan.
In 1999, Liˇs works were selected to attend "the circuit exhibition of fifty Chinese woodcut artists" held by the British Woodcut foundation Council.
Li's works once were selected by the nation to be exhibited in more than thirty countries and religions.
In 2003, Li was invited to attend the exhibition of "the open times" which was held to celebrate the 30 anniversaries the Chinese Art Museum.
Awards:
In 1982, the series of works were awarded the first prize in the National Minorities Art Exhibition.
In 1991, her artwork was awarded the copper prize in the 10th National Woodcut Exhibition.
In 1994, one piece of works was awarded the outstanding prize in the 8th National Art Exhibition.
In 1994, her artwork was awarded the golden medal in the National Minorities Hundred-flower Exhibition.
In 1997, her artwork was awarded the golden medal in the National Minorities Hundred-flower Exhibition.
In 1999, Liˇs works were awarded the Lu Xun Printmaking Prize.
In 2001, her artwork was awarded the 5th National Minorities Hundred-flower Exhibition.
In the same year, Li was giving the title of "outstanding artistˇs prize" by the National Minorities Art Promotion Committee.
